Effective Saturday, 22 January, 2011, tribal enrollment is closed.
Enrollment
will
reopen
no
later
than
01
May, 2011.
Enrollment applications may be mailed in now.
The reasons that enrollment is temporarily closed is because (a) the
records have been removed from the tribal complex by unauthorized
persons and (b) the genealogy reflected in many records was flawed due
to partially "made up" and "fabricated" lineage documented by the late
Lola Scholl of Arkansas.
All past members/citizens and persons of Western Cherokee descent that
wish to become part of the tribe are asked to resubmit/submit their
respective enrollment applications -THERE
IS
NO
